IIM Ahmedabad increases admission offers to Female Candidates and Non-Engineers
The admission process at IIM Ahmedabad this year has been favourable to
female candidates and non-engineers. Of the total offers, 28% have been made to women applicants. This is the highest increase over the previous three years, when offers to females candidates were between 11% and 22%.
Non-engineers have also been increased in the current intake. 11% of the total offers from IIM Ahd this year have gone to non-engineers, compared to 5% or less in the last three years.
These figures indicate that the IIMs are becoming more diverse in their
selection process - unlike previous years, non-engineers and female
applicants are getting a better representation in their most sought
after flagship programme.
